To welcome the Lunar New Year, the National Museum of Taiwan History has launched its first-ever comprehensive museum-wide guidance app — “Anydoor of the National Museum of Taiwan History.” Featuring “self-guided tours” and “creative mystery-solving” functions, the app provides visitors with an entirely new way to explore. It also enhances accessibility services, includes a calendar feature, and offers real-time bus information, enabling visitors with diverse needs to easily plan their itinerary and enjoy a smooth museum visit in the new year.

The museum noted that this is the first time since its opening in 2011 that it has introduced a comprehensive museum-wide guidance app. The “General Guidance” function in the “Anydoor of the National Museum of Taiwan History” app selects 37 key spots from the permanent exhibitions, allowing visitors to quickly grasp the essence of the displays — no more rushed or superficial tours.

The “Anydoor of the National Museum of Taiwan History” app also specially designs an “Interactive Mystery Tour” route for families and younger audiences. Visitors are invited to search for answers within the exhibits, and those who answer correctly can receive super-cute historical-themed photo frames to take pictures with figures from Taiwan’s history.

The “Anydoor of the National Museum of Taiwan History” app further enhances its service features. Not only can users quickly check visit information, special exhibitions, and events, but it also includes a dedicated transportation page integrated with real-time bus data. Additionally, there is an accessibility services page that clearly outlines all accessible facilities within the museum, and visitors can even call directly to book special accessibility-guided tours.

The museum stated that in the future, it will continue to introduce cutting-edge technologies such as AR and VR into the permanent exhibitions to enhance the fun of visiting, aiming to deliver a revolutionary mobile-guided tour experience for all visitors.
