Vanilla Air Adjusts Luggage Weight Limit – Essential Info for Travelers to Japan

Travelers who love visiting Japan should be aware of not only the new baggage regulations recently announced by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, but also new adjustments from low-cost carriers. Vanilla Air recently announced on its official website that starting from October 29, 2017, it will modify its carry-on luggage policy. The allowable cabin carry-on luggage size has been changed from the original 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm to 55 cm × 40 cm × 25 cm, and the total combined weight allowance for two pieces has also been reduced from 10 kg to 7 kg.
Vanilla Air Announces New Carry-On Luggage Regulations
In addition to changes in carry-on luggage size, Vanilla Air has also announced that starting from October 29, the payment handling fee will be adjusted from the original NT$180 to NT$210, an increase of NT$30. Travelers planning to visit Japan or those who have already purchased tickets for flights after October 29 should pay extra attention to the updated luggage weight restrictions.
