Seafood & Lucky Bags Galore – Free Rides to Yilan with Kuo-Kuang Bus

Traveling home or for leisure just got more convenient. Kuo-Kuang Bus is entering the Taipei-Yilan Expressway market with new routes thatdepart from Taipei’s Yuanshan MRT Station and Nangang MRT Station, heading directly to Yilan, Luodong, Toucheng, and Su’ao. The operator is also offering a free trial ride promotion for the first three days — June 28 to 30 — of the new route’s launch.

Following in the footsteps of Capital Bus and Kamalan Bus, Kuo-Kuang Bus will also begin operating on National Freeway No. 5 (Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Freeway), covering the section from Nangang System to Su’ao, becoming the third operator on this route. Kuo-Kuang Bus stated that to encourage public participation, passengers riding the new routes will receive a Southern澳 seafood meal voucher on June 28, 2,500 lucky bags on June 29, and free admission tickets to the Lanyang Museum on June 30.

Kuo-Kuang Bus noted that the new routes are designed for one-day trips, including Yuanshan MRT to Wushi Harbor, Yuanshan MRT to Yilan, and Yuanshan MRT to Southern澳. Travelers can take boats from Wushi Harbor for whale watching, enjoy water activities and cycling along the Dongshan River, or savor fresh seafood in Southern澳. Passengers can board directly from the white queue lines at Yuanshan and Nangang stations without seat reservations or standing room. On weekdays, there are 182 scheduled trips, increasing to 284 on holidays, with a bus departing every 15 minutes during peak hours.
