Taipei International Travel Fair / 40% off High-Speed Rail tickets, only NT$2,200 from Taipei to Tainan

The ITF Taipei International Travel Fair is being held on the 1st and 2nd floors of Hall 1 and in Hall 3 at Taipei World Trade Center. To coincide with the event, from now until October 31, Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Routes 88 (Anping) and 99 (Taijiang), in partnership with Taiwan High Speed Rail, have launched the exclusive “Travel Fair Limited Offer” – the super-value Tainan 8899 High-Speed Rail Transport Pass. It offers a 40% discount on round-trip high-speed rail tickets, making a DIY trip from Taipei to Tainan as low as NT$2,200.

To provide travelers with seamless and convenient transport services, the Tainan City Government has planned the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Routes 88 (Anping) and 99 (Taijiang),” connecting famous historical and cultural attractions in the city. In September this year, the service surpassed one million riders. This year, it has partnered with the High-Speed Rail for the first time, offering a joint High-Speed Rail ticket via the 7-11 ibon platform. In addition to a discounted round-trip fare, the pass also allows travelers to enjoy an extremely attractive two-day Tainan Taiwan Tourist Shuttle package at a great price.

The Tourism Bureau stated that the package is designed based on the typical itineraries of most visitors to Tainan, offering an 8899 two-day transport ticket to meet travelers’ needs for getting around key attractions. It also includes one transportation experience voucher, allowing visitors to take the Dragon Mountain (entertainment fishing raft) to explore the ecology of Qigu Oyster Lake, or use the bicycle services provided by A’Du Store to explore the streets and alleys of Anping and appreciate the charm of historical sites and local culture. Additionally, the pass offers three Tainan street food vouchers so that visitors can savor must-try local snacks and experience the city through its flavors.

In conjunction with the ITF Taipei International Travel Fair, the Tainan 8899 High-Speed Rail Pass is available from now until October 31. Purchasers not only enjoy a further discounted round-trip fare of 60% off the original 75% off (making it 40% off the standard fare), but the tickets are also valid from November 1 to December 31, 2023 (the departure date for Taiwan Tourist Shuttles). Only 100 sets are available each day. Moreover, holders of the “High-Speed Rail Tainan 8899 Pass (Travel Fair Project)/Tainan Tourist Shuttle Ticket Voucher” can redeem a limited-edition souvenir at the Tainan Station Travel Service Center. They can also exchange it for a free medium Citi Café Latte at 7-ELEVEN.
