"Come with me, that that — how about it?" Don’t get the wrong idea. “That That” is a café that has expanded from Chiayi to Taichung. With the owner’s playful, youth-oriented humor, besides serving delicious food, the café is filled with hilarious signs that make customers can't help but smile — such as one banning the use of the café’s name to flirt with the female staff. Its unique style has sparked a check-in craze on Instagram.

Many people visit the French-style Petit Étude bookstore without realizing there's also a forest-themed café hidden inside. The shop has planted numerous green plants and trees, paired with large white spherical lamps, creating a natural scene that makes you feel like you're dining in an urban jungle. But if you think it’s just another classy café, you’re wrong!

“That That Café” in Taichung opened in March and comes from the Chiayi-based youth brand “Handmade Pizza.” Owner Lee Tsung-yang stays true to his self-proclaimed sense of humor, aiming to create a stress-relieving space for customers. Whether it’s the table signs or the dishes, there are laugh-out-loud slogans like “Come with me, that that — how about it?” or “Spaghetti with meat sauce spicier than your mom’s cooking.” The reason for naming the shop “That That” comes from the owner’s own catchphrase, adding a touch of humor that brings smiles.

Lee Tsung-yang said that although their goal is to become Taiwan’s funniest café, they take the food very seriously. In addition to their signature pizza, there are also pasta, sandwiches, and desserts. The currently popular dreamy-colored drinks are also a highlight here. The Honey Lemon Butterfly Pea Flower Sparkling Drink uses Perrier sparkling water, mixed with butterfly pea flowers to achieve a beautiful purple-blue hue. To add more flavor, fresh organic mint leaves from Tainan are added at the end. Both the color and refreshing taste have made it a favorite among social media influencers.
