Many people dreamt of having a unicorn or a flying horse in their childhood, imagining them carrying them through the skies. Painter Buka, with the theme of "interstellar animals," has painted mythical creatures such as unicorns, white tigers, and lions, as if they are leaping out of the canvas. The eyes and movements of the animals in the paintings seem to be enchanted, depicting the beauty of a utopian world. Just looking at the images fills the heart with boundless positive energy, and the healing style aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Treellage Life Cafe.

Treellage Life Cafe, which has been in operation for five years, is well-known in the art and cultural scene. After closing its Yuanshan location, it underwent six months of renovation and reopened in April with a brand-new look in the area around Taipei City Hall. From the outside, it’s hard to tell whether it’s a gallery or a café, but stepping inside reveals its unique charm that sets it apart from ordinary cafes.

Owner Wu Youjie said that the concept of the cafe originates from the salon, which has served as a cradle of cultural spirit since the 1500s. He hopes that Treellage can also become a gathering place that fosters an earthly paradise. Through food and beverage services and curated exhibitions in different periods, it aims to provide a space like a salon—where ideas are sparked, cultures are exchanged, and a positive attitude toward life is co-created.

In addition to exhibitions, the cafe has recently designed a "Little Inspiration Game Map" incorporating four energy elements: fire, water, earth, and wind. The water element symbolizes an interactive dialogue wall, similar to a life-sized version of Monopoly. Customers can roll dice, follow instructions to draw cards, and leave messages for the next visitor. If lucky, they might even receive a small inspiration from a fellow visitor. Each table also features a magic treasure box, offering a personal comfort zone whether you're here with friends or alone.

Unlike regular cafes, Treellage focuses on providing a comfortable space for social interaction and does not serve strongly flavored food. It offers light meals such as handmade desserts, coffee, and herbal teas. The handmade desserts are highly recommended by netizens. Staff mentioned that since Yongji Road Lane 30 is a famous food hub in Taipei, customers may bring in less aromatic savory takeout food, but are responsible for taking their trash with them.
