Cycle along the North Cross-Island Highway to admire cherry blossoms & earn the "Cherry Blossom Warrior Completion Certificate"

Despite fluctuating temperatures, the cherry blossoms along the North Cross-Island Highway are still blooming beautifully. On the 23rd, Taoyuan County hosted a free cycling event to enjoy the cherry blossoms on the North Cross-Island route. In addition to taking in the cherry blossom tunnels and scenic views along the way, participants who complete the full 42.9-kilometer ride will receive a "Completion Certificate" and a special gift.

The Taoyuan County Scenic Area Administration stated that the "North Cross-Island Cherry Blossom Warrior Completion Certification"starts from Daxi, passing through Cihu, Sanmin, Jiaobanshan, Luofu, Gaoyi, and ending at the Lala Mountain Visitor Center. The route is of moderate difficulty. The entire event is free to register, but participants must arrange their own insurance and lunch.The ride will kick off at 7:45 AM on the 23rd, gathering at the Daxi Art & Culture House on Puji Road in Daxi Township.

In addition to the cycling challenge, the Scenic Area Administration also recommends that visitors plan a one-day trip to Daxi and the North Cross-Island area. Start with a food tour in Daxi Old Street, then head toward the North Cross-Island Highway, passing by the Jiaobanshan Guesthouse, Xiaowulai Scenic Area, Skywalk, Luofu Suspension Bridge, and Roma Highway—areas all adorned with cherry blossoms. Near Cihu, there are also flower seas, farms, and camellia gardens.

Before the end of February, cyclists can start their certification ride from either Cihu or the Daxi Art & Culture House station, then get their commemorative stamp at the Jiaobanshan station. Upon reaching the final destination, Lala Mountain Visitor Center, they can also obtain the Completion Certificate. Currently, the Scenic Area Administration has set up cycling stations at the Daxi Art & Culture House, Cihu Guiding Service Station, Jiaobanshan Guesthouse, and Lala Mountain Visitor Center, offering bike repair and drinking water services.
