The colorful Vivid Sydney Festival – Dressing the Opera House in a Dazzling Coat

The sixth edition of Vivid Sydney officially kicked off on May 23, making it one of Australia’s largest and most exciting festivals, and it began with the Opera House’s“Sails Light Show.”This year, the festival commissioned 59 producers, including artists from the UK and the US, to design this artistic project to adorn the Opera House. The Vivid Sydney Festival will run until June 9.

The vibrant Vivid Sydney is a unique annual festival brimming with spectacular lights, wonderful music, and creative ideas. Its main highlight is serving as a platform that brings together the world’s most important creative industries. It features captivating free public exhibitions, including outdoor light sculptures and installations, cutting-edge contemporary music projects, and the breathtaking light art display on the iconic Sydney Opera House.

It is also an annual festival in the Asia-Pacific region that celebrates innovation, creativity, and the convergence of diverse communities. The event brings more audiences and market opportunities to the creative industry, while providing various cross-disciplinary professional development opportunities. Nearly 200 events are organized under this initiative, bringing together creative leaders from over 14 different fields, making it an ideal platform for dialogue and collaboration.
