Hungary’s World’s Tallest LEGO Tower: A 34-Meter Stack Crowned with a Rubik’s Cube

Imagine tiny LEGO bricks, each smaller than a palm, stacked skyward under the Budapest sky to reach an astonishing height of 34 meters. On May 25, this 34.76-meter-tall (approximately 114 feet) tower was completed and has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the tallest toy block structure in the world. This breaks the previous record held by a 34.4-meter tower built last year with the help of students in Delaware, USA.Completed last year,it stood at 34.4 meters tall.

A Guinness World Records spokesperson stated that the tower is “the tallest structure built entirely out of interlocking plastic bricks.” The record was officially registered on May 25 at a LEGO store in Budapest.
Atop the Budapest LEGO tower sits a Hungarian invention — the Rubik’s Cube.The tower was also built with the help of Hungarian elementary school children. Located in front of St. Stephen’s Basilica, the LEGO tower used thousands of blocks and is truly a spectacular sight to behold.
