Minnie Mouse headpieces paired with vintage European costumes — The new exhibition at the North American Gallery transforms into a "stage star"

Do you have a theatrical soul in your blood? Breaking the impression that art is unapproachable, the current exhibition at the North American Gallery, "Social Arena," connects "static displays" (the displayed) with "live art." The first part will overturn your impression of performing arts — visitors can glamorously "transform," donning their favorite headpieces, costumes, and props, stepping onto the stage for staff to take photos. On-site visitors are having a blast.

The bold red letters of "Be Art Become Art" catch the eye. This section of the exhibition is designed by the Bedtime Theater. Visitors can choose costumes, headpieces, and props in the main exhibition hall — from Yayoi Kusama-inspired outfits to vintage European clothing. Headpiece options include Mickey, Minnie, squirrels, and pandas, and you can even wear a soft Hillary Clinton mask to transform into the First Lady of the United States. In this unique dynamic exhibition, everyone can create whimsical, offbeat, and drama-filled magical moments for themselves and their friends.

The creative inspiration for this came from Guo Wentai, the artistic director of Bedtime Theater, who said that everyone has fixed roles in daily life — responsibilities as parents, students, or company employees. He hopes that through this interactive exhibition, visitors will bring a playful, experimental spirit, unleash their creativity, and "become someone else" without frames or constraints, bravely expressing their diverse sides.

Behind the main exhibition hall, there is an art wall made up of 60 photo frames. After taking photos, visitors can email their pictures to Bedtime Theater. The organizers select the most creative performer’s photo each day to display in a frame, becoming part of the gallery exhibition.

Ticket prices: NT$30 full price, NT$15 concession, free entry for seniors over 65 and those under 18(Free admission from 17:00–20:30 on Saturdays)
