Tigerair Taiwan launches 88 TWD flights to Macau; New Year's Eve tickets sell out within 20 minutes

Tigerair Taiwan will launch its Macau route on December 17. Today (3rd), it first introduced discounted tickets priced at 88 TWD, which sparked a rush among netizens starting at 12:01 noon. Tigerair Taiwan stated that by 3:45 pm, over 6,000 seats at the 88 TWD rate had been sold, and special fares around New Year's Eve were completely sold out within 20 minutes. The airline is very optimistic about the future of the Macau route.

Tigerair Taiwan began selling tickets today (3rd) for its Taipei-Macau and Kaohsiung-Macau routes. From the launch date through the end of March, approximately 5,000 seats are available for purchase. Within 20 minutes of sales opening, all special fares around New Year's Eve were sold out, and only a few days around the launch date still have 88 TWD tickets remaining. In addition to the 88 TWD fare, other discounted options such as 688 TWD and 1,088 TWD are also available. Tigerair Taiwan expressed strong confidence in the Macau route. The Taipei to Macau route will operate seven flights per week from December 17 to the end of January; starting February 1 next year, this will increase to ten weekly flights, with morning and evening departures. The Kaohsiung to Macau route will begin operations on December 18, operating three flights per week (departing on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays).
