Expanded traffic controls on Brown Highway and Heaven Road: No outside vehicles allowed before year’s end

To ensure the sustainable development of Chishang Township’s cultural landscape area, from now until December 31, 2015, the famous attraction “Brown Highway” will be under traffic control. Only walking and slow-moving vehicles are permitted, and non-farming vehicles must carry a township resident pass to enter.

Chishang Township Office on April 1announcedthatfrom now until the end of the year, only walking and slow-moving vehicles will be allowed on Chishang Township’s Jinxin No. 3 Road (Brown Highway) and Wanxin Road (Heaven Road). The public is urged to respect the lives of local residents and avoid damaging the local scenery.The Taitung County Government also noted that exploring Chishang at a leisurely pace allows visitors to better experience the tranquility and freedom captured in Takeshi Kaneshiro’s “I see you” commercial, and to enjoy the rural landscapes and the touching beauty of nature.
