New American burger option: California-style CaliBurger arrives in Taipei’s East District

The California-style burger joint CaliBurger is coming to Taiwan. Although Taiwan already has no shortage of American-style burger restaurants, many netizens are especially excited about CaliBurger. The Taipei location has been set in the East District, with signage already up, and the store is expected to open for business in mid-April.

CaliBurger currently has branches in Hong Kong, mainland China, the Philippines, and other locations, with the Taipei branch expected to open in mid-April. In addition to its American-sized burgers, what makes CaliBurger special is that its french fries are freshly cut on-site and then drizzled with cheese sauce.

In addition to McDonald’s and Burger King, there are many other American-style burger restaurants in Taiwan with loyal fanbases, such as Le Zi and GARY BEE’69 American Restaurant, which are also very popular and even offer jumbo burgers as big as 6T cakes.
