Longding Mountain Scenic Area

The Longding Mountain Scenic Area was first developed in 1992. It now features a 15-li circular mountain road, as well as small meeting rooms and entertainment halls. A small swimming pool has been built within the compound, along with planted flowers and lawns. Outside the gate is a large flower garden and the "Zhonggu Tower," inside which hangs an ancient bell. Climbing to the top of the tower offers a panoramic view of Liaoyang. At the highest point of the park stands an octagonal double-eave pavilion. Ascending its steps, visitors can overlook the urban area of Liaoyang City. This spot is named "Xifeng Xiuse" (Beautiful Scenery of the West Peak).

At the site of the former left beacon tower, a 260-meter-long section of ancient-style Great Wall and beacon towers have been constructed. A dam has been built in a low-lying area to retain water, forming an artificial lake named "Dongshan Lake." With a maximum depth of over 7 meters, the lake is stocked with fish for visitors to enjoy fishing.

The Longding Mountain Scenic Area is located on the southern side of the urban area, stretching from Yuntai in the east to the hills behind Liaoyang Hospital in the west, covering a total area of 3,682 mu.
