Honghuaerji Forest Park is located within the territory of the Ewenki Banner in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, and is a well-known tourist attraction. It not only boasts China’s only and Asia’s largest virgin forest of sandy land Scots pine, but also features crisscrossing rivers, numerous lakes, abundant species resources, and a rich variety of flora and fauna, and lies adjacent to the vast Ewenki Grassland and Barag Grassland. The park’s seven major scenic spots are scattered among beautiful green mountains and clear waters. Forest tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism are the best ways for visitors to connect with and enjoy nature. The first phase of the Honghuaerji Forest Park project has been completed. Seven major attractions — the Wanghai Tower, Lake in the Forest, group of Mongolian yurts, villa area, hunting ground, shooting range, and Scots pine forest — are distributed amid the picturesque landscape. The park also provides high-quality services for travelers in terms of “transportation, accommodation, dining, sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping.”

Honghuaerji Forest Park is located 2 kilometers south of Honghuaerji Town in the Ewenki Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir League, Inner Mongolia. Relying on China’s largest virgin forest ecosystem of sandy land Scots pine and the vast Ewenki and Barag Grasslands, it offers a wealth of tourism, leisure, vacation, and scientific research routes. It is the closest forest tourism resort to Hailar. The park can be reached by car in two hours. Hailar Civil Aviation operates eight flights per week between Hailar and Beijing on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Railway transportation is also very convenient. Travelers can take train No. 1304 or K278 from Hailar to Beijing, and return on No. 1303 or K277, both available daily. National Highway 301 and the Binzhou Railway pass through Hailar.
