The Yan Great Wall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Yan Great Wall traverses Naiman Banner and Kulun Banner in the southern part of Tongliao City, with a total length of approximately 125 kilometers within the city's borders. The Yan Great Wall extends from HeYehua Gacha in Baoguotu Sumu, Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, into the Gahe area of Tuchengzi Township in Naiman, passing through villages such as Qijiazi and Xingshuyuanzi before reaching the Niu River. Thereafter, the river serves as a natural barrier in place of the wall. Moving 20 kilometers northward, it begins again on the east bank of the Niu River and continues eastward, passing areas such as the northern foothills of a mountain, south of Kougeng, and Chaoyanggou, extending toward Xixiawa in Ping’an Township, Kulun Banner. It then continues eastward to Xianjin Sumu in Kulun Banner before entering the territory of Fuxin County, Liaoning Province. The section of the Yan Great Wall within Tongliao City was built using rammed earth and wooden planks, with remaining heights of 1 to 2 meters and base widths of 6 to 8 meters.

Tuchengzi Township: Tuchengzi Town is located in the heart of the Horqin Grassland in the southeastern part of Naiman Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It borders Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, to the west, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, to the south, and the banner’s government seat, Daqintala Town, to the north. Tuchengzi Town is a historic ancient town that was originally the capital of the Yan State. In the sixth year of the Da’an era, it became part of Raozhou Circuit. The name “Tuchengzi” comes from the massive earthen walls built here at the time to defend against bandits.
