The Naiman Baogutu Desert (Naiman Desert)

The Naiman Desert is located near Daqintala Town in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Since ancient times, the vast desert and Gobi have been sparsely populated and filled with an air of mystery.

Baogutu, meaning "place with deer" in Mongolian, is a stretch of yellow sand that has buried the former prosperity.

The Baogutu Desert does not have populus euphratica forests, but it does have wild and untamed desert willows. It is said that populus euphratica trees can live for three thousand years without dying, stand for three thousand years after death, and remain unrotted for three thousand years after falling.
