Former Site of the Venue for the Founding Congress of the Lufeng County Soviet Government

The Former Site of the Venue for the Founding Congress of the Lufeng County Soviet Government is a classic red tourism attraction.

From May to November 1927, under the leadership of comrades such as Peng Pai, the people of Haifeng and Lufeng launched three armed uprisings. Following the victory of the third uprising, a Workers', Peasants', and Soldiers' Congress was convened on November 3 at Longshan School, proclaiming the establishment of the first Soviet government in China. The congress lasted four days, during which Peng Pai delivered a political report outlining the nature, mission, and governance program of the new red government, calling on the people of Lufeng to carry out land reform and overthrow the feudal exploitation system. After the establishment of the county Soviet government, it quickly led the masses in the arduous struggle of land revolution, writing a glorious chapter in the history of the Chinese revolution. The former site of the congress venue is now protected with a memorial stele.
