Bawan Kan Zhongshan Scenic Area is located at the junction of Bawan, Chengdong, and Hedong towns, boasting beautiful scenery and unique mountainous landscapes. The mountain features two waterfalls, the site of the headquarters of the anti-Qing uprising army led by Su Liu during the Qing Dynasty, the ancient Qisengniang Palace built in the third year of the Kangxi reign (1664), as well as numerous cliff inscriptions. Kan Zhongshan enjoys excellent natural ecology, growing a wide range of precious trees and various wildlife species native to southern China, earning it the reputation of being a "green treasure house of Lingnan." It is an ideal destination for organizing leisure-oriented mountain tourism and sightseeing activities.

The area around Bawan Kan Zhongshan Scenic Area is a veteran revolutionary base. During the War of Resistance against Japan and the Liberation War, it served as a guerrilla zone established by the underground Communist Party organization in Lufeng. The region has strong popular support, making it convenient for revolutionary forces to hide, rest, and resupply. With its high mountains, dense forests, and complex terrain, it provided favorable conditions to engage in guerrilla warfare and preserve military strength under the adverse military situation of the enemy being stronger than us. Many outstanding Communists, guerrilla fighters, and local people wrote heroic and moving chapters of sacrifice on this red land of Bawan, fighting arduously—some even with their blood and lives—for the liberation of the nation.

Bawan Town: Located in the northeastern part of Lufeng City, Bawan Town borders Piyang Town to the east, Chengdong and Hedong towns to the west, Bomei Town to the south, and faces Luhe County to the north.
