Lin Ancestral Hall at Maluding

The Lin Ancestral Hall at Maluding is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

Also known as the "Hailu Hui Loyalty, Righteousness, Chastity, and Filial Piety Ancestral Hall," the Lin Ancestral Hall at Maluding was first built in the 16th year of the Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty (1643). The structure features a traditional post-and-lintel beam system, covering a total area of over 600 square meters. It has a five-bay, two-courtyard layout arranged in a quadrangle, representing a prime example of ancestral temple architecture from eastern Guangdong during the Qing Dynasty. It is the only surviving ancient site where a county government office was once established and remains one of the best-preserved ancient buildings. In 2011, it was designated as a cultural heritage site at the municipal level in Shanwei City. In 2015, it was listed as a provincial-level cultural heritage site in Guangdong Province.
