Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is located in the Arusha Region of northeastern Tanzania, Africa, covering an area of 137 square kilometers. It is home to a variety of wildlife, with common animals including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, colobus monkeys, and flamingos. Mount Meru, the second highest mountain in Tanzania, is also within the park.

Arusha National Park features diverse wildlife habitats, including grasslands, montane forests, heath, soda lakes, alpine zones, and desert freshwater lakes. There are three uniquely distinctive sites: the Ngurdoto Crater (often considered a miniature version of the Ngorongoro Crater), Momella Lakes (a series of shallow alkaline lakes fed by groundwater), and Mount Meru (one of the worthwhile mountains to climb in Africa). On clear days, the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen from almost every corner of the park.

For visitors to Arusha National Park, climbing Mount Meru or strolling along the winding trails on the lower slopes are popular activities. Ancient fig tree forests, crystal-clear streams cascading down the mountain peaks, and the chance to closely observe colobus monkeys are just some of the scenic wonders and endless joys that Arusha National Park offers.
