　 　 Introduction Fountain Valley is the most popular weekend leisure spot and picnic area for Pretoria residents. In addition to hiking trails, playgrounds, and swimming pools, it also offers a miniature train ride that winds through the entire valley, passing by scenic landscapes. The Roodeplaat Dam, located north of Pretoria, is an ideal spot for fishing, boating, water sports, and swimming. The Wonderboom Nature Reserve is situated in the northern suburbs of the city, in the Magaliesberg area. This reserve is home to a 1,000-year-old fig tree known as the Wonderboom (meaning "wonder tree"), which stands 23 meters tall and spreads 50 meters in diameter, with 13 main trunks extending outward over an area of one hectare.
