Introduction: There is a Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria, which displays the history of South Africa. The Voortrekker Monument is a very distinctive building, resembling a tall and majestic stone-built fortress, with sculptures of ancestors embedded in its exterior walls. Upon entering, there is a circular hall, and the inner circular wall is lined with a white marble frieze depicting scenes of the migration, killings, battles, and struggles for peace of the South African people. The history of South Africa is a story of enslavement, being enslaved, resistance, and counter-resistance. From the landing of Dutch colonists in Cape Town in 1652 to the release of Nelson Mandela in 1990, hundreds of years have laid the foundation for South Africa's history and progress.
