Odense Zoo (Odense Zoo) is the most renowned zoo in Denmark, offering an extensive collection of animals that let you explore wildlife from across the globe in a single day. The zoo is home to chimpanzees from Africa, sea lions from South America, Siberian tigers, Caribbean manatees from the tropical rainforests of South America, colorful marine fish, penguins from sub-Antarctic regions, African lions, and other animals from around the world.

The most captivating part of Odense Zoo is a nearly 4-hectare area adjacent to the Odense River, which replicates the savannah of Botswana in Africa. This zone includes both grassland and wetland areas, with well-designed pathways that make it easy for visitors to observe the wildlife. African animals such as lions, chimpanzees, zebras, ostriches, and storks all reside in this area.

The aquarium at Odense Zoo is the largest in Denmark, taking you on a journey from the humid rainforests of South America all the way to the cold sub-Arctic regions. Along the way, you’ll encounter a diverse array of birds and aquatic animals. After exploring the above-water exhibits, you’ll move on to the underwater section, where you can see a variety of brightly colored fish and coral reefs. At the end of this section, you’ll enter the coldest region of the world to observe giant squids, whales, and large colonies of penguins.
