Kolding

Kolding is located in the Kolding Fjord in the Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark. It is an important port city in Denmark, serving as a key center for churches, commerce, and manufacturing in the region. The city is home to numerous industrial companies, especially many shipbuilding firms. As the seventh most populous city in Denmark, it is part of the eastern urban agglomeration on the Jutland Peninsula.

Kolding’s most photogenic landmark is Koldinghus, a royal castle built in 1268. It has been expanded over time with the addition of new functions and has served as a fortress, royal estate, and ruin, among other roles. Today, it operates as a museum open to the public. The Trapholt Art Museum, which features outstanding artworks by Danish artists, and the Danish Nurses Museum, which tells the story of Danish nurses, are also ideal places to visit.
