From July to August, free lunchtime concerts are held in the 900-year-old College Garden every Thursday from 12:30 to 14:00. It is the oldest garden in England and can be reached by walking through Dean’s Yard. For those who may find this overwhelming, after viewing England’s tallest nave, you can head to the Chapter House to admire the famous 13th-century floor tiles while avoiding the crowds and enjoying the abbey’s blend of grandeur and simplicity in a tranquil setting. The Abbey’s renowned Poets’ Corner features memorials and artifacts dedicated to literary greats such as Shakespeare and Dickens, with many exhibits on display.
