Green Park

Green Park (sometimes directly transliterated as "Green Garden" based on pronunciation) is a royal park in London, UK, covering an area of 19 hectares (47 acres), situated between Hyde Park and St. James’s Park. Together with Kensington Gardens and the gardens of Buckingham Palace, these parks form a virtually uninterrupted stretch of open space extending from Whitehall and Victoria Station to Kensington and Notting Hill.

Compared to nearby parks, Green Park has neither a lake nor any buildings, featuring only the "Canada Memorial" and the "Constance Fund Fountain." The park consists entirely of woodland and grassland, bordered to the south by Constitution Hill, to the east by the pedestrian-only Queen’s Walk, and to the north by Piccadilly. It meets St. James’s Park at "Queen’s Gardens," which centers around the Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace. To the south lies The Mall, while the buildings of St James’s Palace and Clarence House overlook the park from the east. Green Park tube station, near the northern end of Queen’s Walk, is an interchange station for the Piccadilly, Victoria, and Jubilee lines of the London Underground.
