The Copper Box Arena is located to the west of the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, UK. Completed in 2011, it was one of the competition venues for the 2012 Summer Olympics. During the Olympics, it hosted handball, goalball (for the visually impaired), and fencing events in the modern pentathlon.

The most distinctive feature of the Copper Box Arena is its unique exterior, which is entirely clad in 3,000 square meters of copper that will turn green over time due to weathering. The interior is brightly colored and vibrant, with 7,000 retractable seats allowing for more flexible use of space. During the Olympics, the arena hosted the preliminary rounds and quarterfinals of the handball competition, while the semifinals and finals took place in the larger Basketball Arena. In addition, the fencing events of the modern pentathlon and the goalball competitions of the Paralympics were also held here.

After the 2012 Olympics, the Copper Box Arena became a multi-purpose sports venue, providing services for the community, training facilities for athletes, and hosting small to medium-sized sporting events.
