Tate Britain is located in Millbank, London, UK. Originally named the "National Gallery of British Art," it was established in 1897 by Sir Henry Tate and renamed to its current name in 2000 as part of the Tate group of galleries.

Tate Britain mainly collects artworks from 1500 to the present, and is renowned for its collection of Pre-Raphaelite and J.M.W. Turner works. It is the world’s largest gallery of its kind, comparable only to the Yale Center for British Art, though the latter lacks the same depth. The permanent collection focuses on British art and contemporary works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, and works on paper. Each room showcases multiple works by a single artist, allowing visitors to view outstanding pieces by Joseph Mallord William Turner, David Hockney, Peter Blake, Francis Bacon, and others. In addition to its permanent exhibitions, a series of special exhibitions are held to help visitors better understand modern art and meet public demand.
