Kenwood House is a magnificent country house situated on the northern edge of Hampstead Heath, the largest park near London. It is one of the timeless classic works of the great architect Robert Adam and was featured as a filming location for the movie "Notting Hill." Today, it is managed and operated by English Heritage.

Kenwood House is an 18th-century Neoclassical building that has now been almost fully restored to its original form — noble, elegant, and astonishingly beautiful. The house features a small exhibition room with a rich collection of artworks, where you can leisurely admire pieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Gainsborough, and Turner. The magnificent villa also houses a grand library, and among its most treasured assets is a collection of privately owned paintings (donated to the nation). Additionally, the Neoclassical-style furnishings found throughout the house are exquisitely beautiful.

If you visit during the summer, be sure to check the schedule for lakeside concerts in advance — you might even catch a fireworks display or a “Sound of Music” sing-along night. Entry to the house and its restaurant is free, but there is a fee for the concerts. And of course, don’t forget to stroll into the nearby Hampstead Heath, which offers vast public green spaces, unique trees, grasslands, hills, and ponds, with stunning views overlooking the entire city of London.
