Vondelpark

Vondelpark is one of Amsterdam’s largest parks and a public city park, surrounded by many canals. Established in 1865, it covers an area of 47 hectares and features a film museum, an open-air theater, a sports field, a rose garden, and several specialty restaurants.

The park also houses a statue of the famous 17th-century Dutch poet and playwright Joost van den Vondel. From June to August each year, the open-air theater hosts related music and dance performances. Every Friday, the "Friday Night Skating" event takes place in front of the film museum, attracting many skating enthusiasts to show off their skills. On April 30th each year, Queen's Day celebrations are held in Vondelpark. The park boasts beautiful surroundings with lush green lawns, fountains occasionally shooting up from the lake, and carefree ducks floating on the water while occasionally glancing at visitors lounging on the grass. During weekends and holidays, parents bring their children here to enjoy a delightful time together.
