Amsterdam Arena is a well-known football stadium in the Netherlands. Construction began in 1993, and it was completed and put into use in 1996. It is the largest stadium in the country, primarily serving as a venue for association football (soccer) and American football matches, as well as concerts and other events.

Amsterdam Arena is one of only two UEFA five-star stadiums in the Netherlands. Its roof is made of glass and is movable. The stadium has a seating capacity of 51,628, which can be expanded to 68,000 for concerts to accommodate more fans. Since 1996, it has been the home ground of the traditional Dutch powerhouse Ajax. The 1997–1998 UEFA Champions League Final was held here, and it was also one of the venues for UEFA Euro 2000. When there are no matches, Amsterdam Arena becomes a concert venue, hosting performances by many Dutch and international artists.
