You’ve probably heard of Heineken, the world-renowned beer, but did you know it originated in the Netherlands? In Amsterdam, there’s a Heineken beer museum that reopened in 2001 — the Heineken Experience.

The Heineken Experience is housed in a former Heineken brewery, originally built in 1863 and closed in 1988, which has now been transformed into a museum that comprehensively showcases the development of Heineken beer. Through flat images, text, and artifacts preserved from past exhibitions, the experience introduces the overall evolution of Heineken beer from its history to the present. A series of continuous audiovisual multimedia digital 3D technologies display the equipment from the original factory workshop assembly lines, allowing every visitor to personally experience its different themed spaces.

The museum has three floors, divided into different zones offering various experiences, including learning about Heineken’s history, lying back in chairs to enjoy light, music, and visuals, witnessing the beer bottling process, and visiting the spectacular large brewing vats. Whether you’re a beer drinker or not, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable experience. You can also exchange vouchers provided on-site for two glasses of Heineken beer — no need to hold back, just enjoy yourself to the fullest.
