Rimini

Rimini is a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, located on the Adriatic Sea coast between the Marecchia and Ausa rivers. It is the capital of the Province of Rimini and one of Europe’s famous seaside resort destinations. It is also the hometown of the renowned art film director Federico Fellini.

With 15 kilometers of sandy beach coastline, over 1,000 hotels, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, Rimini has much to offer. The first seaside bathing establishment here opened in 1843. A city with memories of ancient Rome and the Renaissance, Rimini was founded by the Romans in 268 BC, leaving behind numerous historic relics such as the Arch of Augustus and the Tiberius Bridge.

The magnificent City Hall houses a small yet precious art gallery, which contains many rare manuscripts. Nearby the ancient square, you can also visit the 13th-century Tempio Malatestiano, the 2nd-century Roman amphitheater, the Church of Sant’Agostino, the bell tower, and the Archaeological Museum.
