The Basilica of Santa Trinita is located in the city center of Florence, Italy, near the Ponte Santa Trinita over the Arno River. It is a Catholic church, originally founded in 1092 by a Florentine noble, with the current structure built between 1258 and 1280.

The Basilica of Santa Trinita features Gothic architecture, with an exterior made of hard sandstone and a solemn interior. This magnificent church consists of approximately 20 chapels and houses many outstanding works of art. It is particularly renowned for the Sassetti Chapel, the sixth chapel on the right. The Sassetti Chapel contains frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio, including “Saint Francis,” “The Nativity and the Prophecy of Christ’s Birth,” and “The Adoration of the Magi.” These exquisite frescoes are considered masterpieces of the 15th century.
