Ca' d'Oro
Introduction Ca' d'Oro (Galleria Franchetti) is the most outstanding Gothic building in Venice, built in 1440. The gold-plated edifice once sparkled in the sunlight and was formerly known as the "House of Gold." Now, it has been converted into an art museum and is open to the public. It features precious paintings from the Venetian School spanning the 14th to 18th centuries, representing the pinnacle of European painting art. Major works on display include The Annunciation by Carpaccio, The Passion of Christ by Anthony van Dyck, St. Sebastian by Mantegna, and pieces by Titian, among others. Transportation Take vaporetto line 1 and get off at the Ca' d'Oro stop. Ticket / Opening Hours 5 euros. Opening hours: 8:15 AM to 7:00 PM (closed on Easter, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day)
