Duchy of Württemberg Castle is located in the Montbéliard region of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in France, commonly referred to as Montbéliard Castle. It is an important military fortress in French history and has been listed as a historical cultural heritage site by the French Ministry of Culture.

Duchy of Württemberg Castle has long been the residence of local counts through the generations, and its history is inevitably closely tied to that of the family that ruled this land for eight centuries. This military fortress, situated on a steep promontory where two rivers meet, has existed since the 10th century and has undergone multiple renovations over the centuries. Today, from its northern side, visitors can still admire the time-worn towers, as well as the main residential section dating back to the 18th century—majestic and imposing, weathered by history. Since becoming a museum, the castle offers a journey through history, featuring Gallo-Roman archaeological exhibits, the Curie Museum of Natural History, and internationally acclaimed art and sculpture exhibitions.
