Belfort is a city in northeastern France, the capital of the Territoire de Belfort department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, and also the largest city in the department. The city straddles the Savoureuse River and is located 400 km from Paris, 141 km from Strasbourg, and 150 km from Zurich.
