Argentan

Argentan is a commune in the Orne department of the Lower Normandy region in France. It is located 180 km northeast of Rennes and approximately 131 km northeast of Mont-Saint-Michel, near the Orne River. This town boasts a long history and is also the birthplace of the renowned French painter and sculptor Fernand Léger.

Argentan offers many worthwhile attractions to visit, such as the medieval Donjon of Argentan, medieval towers, the 14th-century Ducal Castle, the 11th-century Church of Saint Nicholas, the ancient Church of Saint Martin, and the Museum of the Argentan Lace.
