Roubaix is a commune in the Nord department in northern France, located between Lille and Tourcoing. It is one of France’s most important manufacturing centers and is home to the National School of Textiles. In 2012, France’s richest man, Bernard Arnault, was born here.

Roubaix is most famous for the La Piscine Museum, which was converted from an old swimming pool and opened in 2000. The museum boasts an extensive collection, with its permanent exhibits dating back to 1835. There are many sculptures around the pool. Other must-visit attractions include Saint Martin’s Church, Saint John’s Church, the National Institute of Fine Arts and Textile Industries, the picturesque Roubaix Canal, the Bowling World, and the city park. Additionally, the lively Roubaix Market, numerous large retail stores, and supporting leisure facilities make it an ideal shopping destination.
