Tourcoing is a city in the Nord department of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France, close to Lille and near the Belgian border. It played an important role during the French Revolution and is now a picturesque city.

The 15th- and 16th-century Church of Saint Christopher, the Napoleonic Third Empire-style town hall, the church (Hospice de Havre) built in 1260, and the Tourcoing Botanical Garden are all must-see highlights. The Church of Saint Christopher is regarded as one of the most beautiful Neo-Gothic buildings, featuring an 80-meter-high bell tower with over 80 bells. Tourcoing also boasts a vibrant cultural life, with the municipal theater that regularly hosts dance and music performances, an art gallery with numerous exhibits, the historic city center, modern art exhibitions, and a variety of leisure and entertainment facilities that are worth visiting.
