Mount Carmel Waterfall (also known as Marquis Falls) is located two miles south of Gouyave and is the largest and tallest waterfall in Grenada. Standing thirty feet high, the waterfall plunges straight down, with sheer and perfectly flat rock walls behind it.

It takes only 30 minutes to hike to Mount Carmel Waterfall. The trail passes through a private plantation filled with local plants and fruit trees, making it easy to reach. Visitors don’t need to mark the path, ask for directions, or worry about getting lost—the sound of the rushing waterfall will guide them right to it. Many visitors enjoy swimming beneath the falls, where the crystal-clear water is refreshing and helps wash away fatigue after the hike. Even if you don’t swim, sitting under the waterfall and listening to its music is a delight. The sound isn’t deafening but crisp and clear, accompanied by birdsong, creating a beautiful natural melody.
