Underwater Sculpture Park

The Underwater Sculpture Park is located beneath the waters of Grenada. This sculpture project began in May 2006 and was primarily created by renowned sculptor Jason Taylor, with support from the Grenada Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

Each statue in the Underwater Sculpture Park is crafted to the scale and proportions of real people. These sculptures were first carved on land before being transported and fixed onto the seabed. It is an eco-friendly art sanctuary, with many materials used in the sculptures being repurposed from coral reef waste. It is also a unique art space that offers an entirely new environment—unlike visiting a regular museum where you passively glance at exhibits, here divers actively engage and explore, carefully observing every detail of the sculptures and even swimming alongside the fish. Furthermore, it is a mysterious art venue because the ocean itself is an enigmatic setting, and with the sculptures taking on diverse and ever-changing forms, combined with the continuous seepage of seawater and interactions with marine life, the sculptures undergo subtle transformations daily, adding a legendary aura to the park.
