Harbour Centre
Introduction
Walk further west from Gastown, turn right onto Cordova Street where you’ll find the SkyTrain’s Waterfront Station on the right — also a hub for the SeaBus to northern Vancouver. Nearby stands a building shaped like a UFO flying saucer — this is Vancouver’s famous Harbour Centre Lookout. It was built in 1974 and completed in 1977. As one of Vancouver’s iconic skyscrapers, it takes less than a minute to reach its 553-foot-high observation deck via the elevator from the ground floor. The top floor offers a 360-degree city view, along with historical information and displays to help you learn about Vancouver’s geography. The very top houses the Top of Vancouver Restaurant, where you can enjoy a full 360-degree panoramic view as the restaurant slowly rotates approximately once every ninety minutes.
