Although not very large, the Museum of Anthropology houses an impressive collection, now comprising over 571,000 items, including 36,000 ethnological artifacts and 535,000 archaeological pieces. It features a vast array of artworks and handicrafts created by Indigenous peoples of British Columbia, making it one of the best places to explore the art of BC’s First Nations. The rich collection, along with impressive totem poles, vividly showcases the splendid art and culture of West Coast Indigenous peoples. In addition to local collections, the museum also displays a diverse range of anthropological carvings and crafts gathered from around the world.
