Lost Lagoon is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, situated at the western end of Georgia Street near the entrance to Stanley Park. It is a picturesque man-made lake covering an area of 16.6 hectares, with an average depth of about 4 feet and a maximum depth of approximately 11 feet. The lagoon is surrounded by a 1.79-kilometer-long walking path.

The name Lost Lagoon comes from a poem by writer Pauline Johnson, who was inspired by the beauty of the lake. Today, Lost Lagoon has become a beautiful bird sanctuary and a biologically filtered wetland park. It serves as a habitat for herons, swans, and several species of ducks, attracting many visitors who come here for birdwatching, making it a well-known birding destination. The lagoon offers elegant and pleasing scenery, enhanced by lush trees and blooming flowers along its shores, creating one of the most stunning and delightful landscapes. Occasionally, during cold spells, the lagoon may freeze over. When the ice reaches a certain thickness, visitors are allowed to skate and play hockey on the lake.
