Yangqu County Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism destination.

Yangqu County Martyrs' Cemetery is located in the northwest corner of Yangqu County. To bury the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Battle of Taiyuan Liberation in areas such as Fengge Liang and Huer Liang within Taiyuan City, the cemetery was constructed in the spring of 1960 in the southwest of Yangqu County. It commemorates 1,214 revolutionary martyrs from 17 provinces and cities across the country who died in the Battle of Taiyuan Liberation, including 676 identified martyrs and 538 unidentified ones. In March 1988, Marshal Xu Xiangqian inscribed the words "Eternal Glory to the Martyrs Who Sacrificed Their Lives for the Liberation of Taiyuan." In 1995, the Yangqu County Party Committee and the county government listed the relocation of the cemetery as a key project in the military-civilian support efforts. The main construction was completed in 1998, and the relocation was carried out. The newly built cemetery faces south and is situated to the north, with its main structures being single-story antique-style buildings symmetrically arranged along the east-west axis. The overall layout consists of four courtyards, including an Anti-Japanese War Exhibition Hall that showcases the life of the people of Yangqu County and the grassroots party organizations mobilizing the masses for battle during the Anti-Japanese War period, and a Liberation War Exhibition Hall that depicts commanders directing battles and soldiers storming the city during the liberation of Taiyuan. In 1988, it was designated by the Taiyuan Municipal Government as a municipal-level key protected revolutionary martyrs' memorial site. In 1998, it was recognized as a provincial-level moral education base, and in 2009, it was announced as a Shanxi Provincial Patriotic Education Base.
