The Tamerlane Towers consist of three towers in total: one central stone tower and two brick towers to the east and west, all built during the Yuan Dynasty.

The eastern tower is the tomb pagoda of Yexian Tamerlane, a Wude General and Darughachi of Tengchong Road in Yunnan. It is a three-tiered dense-eave style structure with an octagonal floor plan, approximately 7 meters high; the central tower is the tomb pagoda of Shi Zhongxian, a five-tiered octagonal epitaph stone pagoda, 2.9 meters high, built in the ninth year of the Yuandade era (1305) by Yexian Tamerlane in memory of his father Shi Zhongxian; the western tower is the tomb pagoda of Yexian Tamerlane’s brother Baiyan Tamerlane, a three-tiered dense-eave style structure with an octagonal floor plan, approximately 7 meters high.

In May 2013, the Tamerlane Towers were announced as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
