Amman

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a historic mountain city built on seven hills. With its pleasant climate and beautiful scenery, Amman is a city that blends tradition with modernity. In recent years, urban development has expanded rapidly to cover 14 hills, including notable ones such as Jabal Amman, Jabal Al-Hussein, and Jabal Al-Lweibdeh. Amman now has a population of approximately 1.9 million and serves as an important commercial, financial, and transportation hub in the Middle East.

Amman boasts numerous ancient monuments as well as modern architectural structures, such as the Roman Theater, Raghadan Palace, King Abdullah Mosque, Royal Scientific Society, Hussein Medical City, and the Jordan Museum. It's common to see camels walking alongside cars on the streets of Amman, where pedestrians wear a colorful array of clothing. The city is home to many art galleries, museums, and historical sites, while nearby attractions include the Dead Sea, the ancient city of Salt, and desert castles—all offering diverse experiences. Amman and the western highlands enjoy a subtropical Mediterranean climate, characterized by mild weather, with average temperatures ranging from 7–14°C in January and 26–33°C in July. The rainy season, which also marks the peak tourist period, lasts from October to May.
