Almaty Tower

Almaty Tower is located in the southeastern part of Almaty, Kazakhstan, on the steep slopes of Kok Tobe Mountain. It is a towering television tower that began construction in 1975 and was completed in 1983. Unlike other TV towers, it is not made of concrete but rather a steel pipe structure, and it is the tallest self-supporting steel pipe structure tower in the world.

Standing at 371.5 meters tall, Almaty Tower has two observation decks, one at 146 meters and another at 252 meters, both accessible by elevator. Unfortunately, the observation decks are currently not open to visitors. The tower is set against a backdrop of rolling mountains, making for a striking scene — these high peaks, covered in snow, create a majestic and beautiful background for the tower.
